SUMMARY:NCFDD: Managing Chronic Illness and Academic Life
DESCRIPTION:Maintaining professional productivity while managing a chronic illness has several particular challenges. At times\, the scheduling and culture of the academy actively ignores the needs of the body/mind in its demand for scholarly and professional productivity. Drawing on her scholarship and professional experiences\, Therí Pickens will discuss strategies for living and working with chronic illness. \nThe webinar begins by addressing the common challenges and triumphs of living with a chronic illness. DESCRIPTION:This is an invitation-only event open to those who applied by the November deadline and were accepted for Winter 2020.
