DESCRIPTION:What can leadership look like for humanities PhDs beyond the traditional academic path? Join Daniella Sarnoff and Julianne Gilland for a conversation about building purposeful careers\, taking on leadership roles\, and bringing humanistic perspectives to work in cultural\, global\, and mission-driven organizations. Panelists will share how their doctoral training has shaped their careers\, leadership approaches\, and contributions beyond the academy. \nFeatured Panelists: \n \nDaniella Sarnoff\, PhD | Director\, Global Scholars and Fellowships at Columbia Global \nDaniella joined Columbia World Project in July 2022 after over a decade at the Social Science Research Council (SSRC)\, directing the International Dissertation Research Fellowship Program\, as well as other programs supporting scholars in the humanities and social sciences. Daniella holds a PhD in European history and works on extremist politics in interwar France. Before her work at the SSRC she taught history at Xavier University\, Fordham University\, and New York University.
