February 5, 2020 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

  • This event has passed.

You are invited to join GPSA Diversity and International Students Committee and the First Generation and Low Income Graduate Student Organization (FiGLI), in collaboration with the Graduate School Office of Inclusion and Student Engagement, the Graduate and Professional Student Diversity Council, and CIRTL at Cornell,  for the third session of our Building Allyship Series – Helping First Generation Scholars Uncover the Hidden Curriculum.

This session will feature a moderated panel discussion on how allies can help first generation college students in graduate school uncover the “Hidden Curriculum” involved with navigating Cornell.

This session will provide us with an opportunity to understand the experiences of first generation scholars navigating graduate education and what it means to serve as an ally as they are confronted with new institutional landscapes and socio-cultural environments.

Interested in participating remotely? (Audio only) Please register to obtain Zoom access.
