Research Statements for Research-Intensive Universities: A Panel Discussion
July 15, 2020 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm
- This event has passed.
This session features a panel of three early career researchers who recently successfully obtained tenure-track faculty positions, talking about how they approached writing a successful research statement for a research-intensive (or R1) university job application. Through questions and discussion, learn how to craft a focused and compelling research plan that will describe your areas of focus, past contributions, and plans for future work directions up to tenure. As time allows, we will also touch on describing your research in interviews as well as application materials.
