Postdoc Pizza Party

This year, Director of Postdoctoral Affairs commonly coordinates with the National Postdoctoral Association to offer virtual multi-institutional events and sponsors a social reception for postdoctoral scholars and their invited guests in mid-September. This is also the official announcement of the year’s recipients of the Postdoc Achievement Awards.

Postdoc Achievement Awards

The Postdoc Achievement Awards honor and showcase postdocs who have made outstanding contributions to community or organizational change and show a commitment to promoting equity and inclusion at Cornell and/or throughout society as a whole. Every year, at least one of each of the following awards will be granted to deserving postdocs:

  • Achievement Award for Excellence in Leadership
  • Achievement Award for Excellence in Community Engagement
  •  Achievement Award for Excellence in Mentoring

Awards are sponsored by the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs and the Office of the Vice Provost for Research. 

To nominate a postdoc, please complete the online nomination form by the August nomination deadline. The awardees will be announced during National Postdoc Appreciation Week in September.
