Future Professors Institute: Advancing Diversity and Inclusion in the Academy
Organized by the Graduate School’s Office of Inclusion and Student Engagement (OISE), Future Faculty and Academic Careers, and theĀ Office of Postdoctoral Studies, the Future Professors Institute is a two-day event featuring workshops and guest speakers from multiple institutions discussing the topic of preparing for successful faculty careers. Sessions are tailored to an audience of doctoral students, postdocs, JD or JSD and MFA students interested in academic careers (i.e., future faculty).
The institute is open to all future faculty with a demonstrated commitment to advancing diversity, inclusion, access, and equity in academia, and has a priority focus on those future faculty from backgrounds historically excluded from and underrepresented in the professoriate.
The next Future Professors Institute will be held on June 6-7, 2023. For more information, please visit the Future Professors Institute website.
